Dedicating Your Time with New Berlin Veterans Memorial Society

Our memorial is dedicated to all those individuals who have served in the Armed Forces, past, present and future — especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

New Berlin Veterans Memorial Society is always looking for help from our members and non-member alike. If you have a specific interest or talent that you are willing to share, please contact for us.  Here are just a few opportunities and areas of need.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and put their individual experience and expertise to work for the greater good.  There are many areas of need...

Data and Communication Updates
  • Help with entering and updating our NBVMS database
  • Update the website
  • Update and publish the Newsletter
  • Note: No computer programming skills are required.  Training will be provided on an established procedure for all updates

Brick Events
  • One held in the spring and the other in the fall
  • Brick installers
  • Ordering and obtaining pavers from supplier
  • Brick donor contact and coordination of their honored Vet bio intro for the event
  • Set-up and tear-down crew

New Berlin Fourth of July Festival
  • 3-day event held at Malone Park during the Fourth.  
  • People to help “man the booth”.  Typically 1-2 other Board Members will be present
  • Take donations
  • Sell military patches and small kids prizes
  • Set-up and tear-down crew

Annual Membership Meeting
  • Typically held at the end of our fiscal year – July
  • Door prize buyers
  • Refreshment buyers
  • Set-up and tear-down crew

Administration
  • Pick up mail and distribute
  • Read society email and forward to proper people
  • Optional: help with data entry

Annual Al Stigler Memorial Golfing Event
  • Typically held in August.  In honor of a real New Berlin hero and friend of the NBVMS, who since passed on and is missed
  • Logistics
  • Manage prize holes
  • Door prize buyers
  • Refreshment buyers
  • Set-up and tear-down crew
